strwbryflds4evr (Ashley): First off, a general thank you for this beautifully written yet pungent storyits so very bittersweet in the mixture of the style and the plotand thank you for writing this because there isnt very much David/Syd out there and I think its a very interesting avenue.
-
- I loved the style of the entire piece, but the second paragraph in particular I had to point out. The prose is perfect, nearing on poetry, really, and I think it captures Sydwish Id written it!

strwbryflds4evr (Ashley): ///Progressively, though, it has become more meticulous; habitual motions and motions like putting a needle to your arm long after the romance and effectiveness of the drug have worn away.
-
- Like putting a needle to your arm just to keep from being sick.///
-
- That was a wonderfully written idea as well, really. It was the most appropriate choice to set up a comparison with, in my opinion.

strwbryflds4evr (Ashley): I'm going to be honest: I never thought of their relationship in this waythis brutal I mean. I've always pegged both of them as romantic figures separately and when put together are an impending fluff-fest. But thats what is the potential of this fic reallyits different from what I would picture as a David/Syd storyyou took what I often see as two very cute people and combining them to make the unexpected.

strwbryflds4evr (Ashley): Interestingly enough, the telling of this scene perhaps wasnt romantic in the conventional sense, but it is overtly needy and conveys a sense of addiction almost (which is something I often contribute to romance, be it lust or love), in the brutality.

strwbryflds4evr (Ashley): The end was brilliantly written and, for me, so heartbreakingly as well. It felt as if the situation mirrored both their lives in some way in that the further they push on, perhaps the onslaught of ecstasy goes hand in hand with agonySyd in decline, and David in ascension.
-
- Lastly, thank you again for this story! You are an awesome writer :D
